A wide choice of colours

The beauty of digital art is colours can be modified very easily. Many different versions of the same image can be produced with wildly different colour schemes
So if you see an image you like but want different colours this is often possible. Contact us for advice on how to match your colours or to produce a print in different key colours.

What colours to choose?

If you are looking for a picture for a particular setting have a think about the following:

  • Pictures  with more red oranges and yellows  look warmer and welcoming and bring  things closer
  • More cool blues and violets blue can create a sense of distance and space.
  • Colours that are next to each other in the colour wheel blend together well
  • To get a pulsing effect and make the colours zing put direct opposites together.
  • To break up a predominant colour in a room choose a small amount of its opposite or one from a very different part of the colour wheel.

How colour affects us

You only have to look at someone trying to buy a tie to see that we all have a sense of colour and design. Colours are all around us and we react to them, sometimes without realising. Consider the following

Red is said to speed up the heart rate and stimulate us,
Yellow grabs our attention and green relaxes people.
Pink has been found to be calming
Tea from a blue cup feels cooler
